Clean your room, cucko! Do it! And maybe you'll manage something a bit more challenging afterward. It feels good, it really does. Not the actual work, that's for sure, but the reward. Oh man! It's addictive. You sacrifice the now for the later. Don't enjoy yourself too much now, so that you could enjoy yourself a lot more later! Voila! Fulfillment! Purpose! All that good stuff.
You can't escape suffering. Even if you could, would you really want that? How would you enjoy that sweet feeling of achieving something? Of working hard? Of taking the journey?
Man, sometimes the journey is worth a lot more than the destination. You work hard for something and realize later that you learned a lot for doing it. You're a better person, an improvement! It was worth it! Worth more than what you got in return!
You know what? What I wouldn't give to have Peterson's brain preserved. It is an object fit on a pedestal in museums!
