About this series

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War (2006) by Max Brooks is a standalone novel told as a series of interviews conducted after a global pandemic of the undead has been repelled. A UN investigator travels the world recording survivors' firsthand accounts — soldiers, doctors, politicians and ordinary civilians — piecing together how the outbreak began, how civilization nearly collapsed, and how humanity fought back. Brooks's earlier book The Zombie Survival Guide is set in the same fictional universe but is a separate survival-manual series of its own; World War Z has no direct sequel novel.
