The Web

Mary Balogh's Regency-era romance trilogy, published between 1989 and 1990, tells three interconnected stories drawn from the Raine and Purnell families — beginning with The Gilded Web, and following Dominic and Madeline Raine and James Purnell through Web of Love and The Devil's Web. A connected companion novel, A Promise of Spring, takes up a married couple who appear only briefly in the trilogy; its story runs before, during and after the events of the first book.
