The Three Investigators: Crimebusters

Several years after their Rocky Beach boyhood, Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Bob Andrews return as seventeen-year-olds who can drive their own cars and handle themselves without the junkyard gadgets of old. Aimed at an older teen audience, this Random House spin-off trades costumed villains for faster-paced, more action-driven cases against real-world criminals. The eleven-book run (1989-1990) ended abruptly, cutting the series short.
