The Last King of Osten Ard
Simon, now King of Osten Ard, faces new dangers as ancient evils stir and alliances falter. This series continues the epic saga of a kingdom on the brink, exploring themes of duty, power, and the enduring fight against darkness. Readers will find a rich world and complex characters in this return to a beloved fantasy realm.
The Last King of Osten Ard is a direct sequel series to Tad Williams's original Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy, continuing the story of Osten Ard many years later with both new and returning characters.
The series should be read in publication order: The Witchwood Crown, followed by Empire of Grass, and then Into the Narrowdark. There is also a prequel novella, The Heart of What Was Lost, which bridges the gap between the original trilogy and this series.
The series is planned as a quartet, with the final book, The Navigator's Children, expected to conclude the story.
