About this series

James Patterson's young-adult series follows Maximum Ride and five other children who are ninety-eight percent human and two percent bird, raised in a laboratory called the School and now living on the run. Beginning with The Angel Experiment, the nine-book sequence follows the flock as they search for their origins, evade the people hunting them, and work out what they were made for. Told in Max's own voice, fast-paced and built for readers who want short chapters and constant motion. The illustrated adaptation, Maximum Ride: The Manga, is a separate nine-volume run drawn by NaRae Lee.
