Ilium

Dan Simmons' Ilium series blends science fiction with Homeric epic. On a far-future Earth, humans and posthumans observe a recreation of the Trojan War on Mars, while a robot named Mahnmut travels to Jupiter to investigate a threat. This series explores themes of war, identity, and the nature of reality.
