Blood Heir Trilogy

A young adult fantasy trilogy by Amélie Wen Zhao set in the frozen Cyrilian Empire, where magic-users called Affinites face persecution and enslavement. Princess Anastacya Mikhailov, who can control blood, is framed for her father's murder and becomes a fugitive, drawn into a dangerous underworld of trafficking and political conspiracy that threatens the empire's fate. The trilogy comprises Blood Heir (2019), Red Tigress (2021) and Crimson Reign (2022).
