A nine-novel Star Trek: The Next Generation miniseries, all published in 2004, set between the films Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek Nemesis (2002). The first eight novels form four two-part story arcs; the ninth, "A Time for War, a Time for Peace," is a standalone. Book 1, "A Time to Be Born," is by John Vornholt.
